Agree that WSJ is losing by not allowing deep linking on its site. The author recommended them ten years back (!) to allow deep linking for news stories to engage wider audience, and have a paid subscription for analysis, etc.

If I can't share the story with others (meaning sharing a link to the story by email or other means), I won't be interested in it.
