I had mixed feelings about what Bezos was doing. While he minimizes costs to the level of unbearable conditions for his workers, he has also been declaring his main focus being on customers and making things cheaper for them.
His caring about customers might seem somewhat noble. However, somethings doesn't add up here: Amazon's Jeff Bezos is $50 billion richer than any other person alive.
What could be in reality behind his declared focus is to achieve absolute domination in e-commerce by dumping prices, and since he is also pressing publishers and merchants to minimize their margins, his bottomline gets pumped up anyway. So, this strategy benefits him personally more than anyone else. And this is what Amazon is about.
