There is an interesting notion about history in the book: Our human history as we know it is not all-the-way truth, it's rather based on a consensus about shared stories about the past. So history is a social construct and plastic in this regard ... It's based on story-telling eventually and "social voting" on what stories are believed to describe the past.

Unfortunately, blockchain by itself doesn't prevent financial manipulations. To its praise though, its inherent transparency makes it easier to discover such manipulations:

The authors define the next generation of the Internet - Internet 3.0 as a re-made model of online services where services are made decentralized and distributed, running peer-to-peer transactions. They mention the example of a distributed analog of centralized Uber app, powered by its own cryptocurrency.

It would be interesting to know if the current Internet behemoths such as Facebook and Uber also recognize this as the future of the Internet and are already working on their transformation to the new model or if they would oppose it and consider it a threat, or if they just consider it a bubble.
