I completely agree that many workplaces are toxic and infested with stress (including office and bullshit jobs), however to acknowledge PTSD on that basis (example with utility company's worker from the book) could be a slippery slope. I know the guy who worked as a firefighter, at some point claimed PTSD and got retired in his 30s. Now he smokes weed for his PTSD and I can tell you that he looks worse now than when he worked lately.
